These are the official rules for The Percy Jackson RP. Make sure you read all of these before applying and that you plan to follow them.
1. When you register you can choose whatever name you'd like, but in the end make sure your display name is the first and last name of your character.
2. Everyone on this forum is going to be kind and friendly. We are very open to in character drama, but out of character drama? We will be having none of that nonsense. If you can not follow this rule you will be asked to leave.
3. If you have any questions, feel free to ask any of the staff or even any members. We will gladly help you with anything you are confused or would like to know about!
4. Do NOT advertise anywhere but in the proper board that we have made for you. Guests are also allowed to advertise there as well, of course.
5. Stay ACTIVE! This is a rule that we can not stress enough. What would a forum be without the members? We would like for this roleplay to work out and remain active, and in order for us to do so we need active members that will post at least a decent amount of time. We will have member checks so that if someone becomes inactive they will be removed from the site.
6. Characters can be around any age that you would like, though they may not be any younger than five years old. The reason for this is that we believe it is just easier for everyone else on the board.
7. We will not accept children of Artemis and Hera. Haven't you read the books? Also, children of the Big Three are very rare so there will be a limit of how many of them there will be. When we feel that there are enough in one of those cabins, we will close applications for it.
8. You'll need to be able to write in at least a decent way. Use correct grammar, spelling, etc. The application will help tell us if you are able to do this.
9. Do not godmode at all. This means you can not control any other character. You are your own character, respect that!
10. At the current time, members are only allowed up to two characters. This may change in the future, but right now we want active members and if you try to take up too many characters you won't be able to handle it.
11. Do not make any OOC posts, notes, anything in any of the RP areas. If you'd like to make a post that isn't in character use the correct boards. Also, the PM area is your friend!
12. We will allow mature themes, such as cursing, smut, etc. But if you are doing an entire post on let's say your character's first time, please put a warning at the top of the post. Some people may not feel comfortable reading such things.
13. All roleplay posts will be in THIRD CHARACTER! Remember that.
14. Be realistic and in character. Don't have a child of Ares suddenly have a personality that fits a child of Athena. Also, do not make your character so powerful that they are practically a God. It's very annoying and we do not want any Mary Sues or anything of that sort.
15. This is many years after the time of the beloved characters such as Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase, etc. Also no characters will be able to be related to any canon characters or anything like that.
16. Do not choose the same playby that someone already has. For example, one of the admins has Selena Gomez as a playby. Unless she suddenly has some strange magical twin that has appeared, no one else may use Selena as their playby. Get it?
17. Do not apply for important characters, like a God or a Goddess. We just don't need them and feel that if someone who wasn't staff was controlling a character like that, things wouldn't end well.
18. Post in the correct boards. If you post in the woods board when you're really at the stables, we'll have a problem.
19. Your character is not a superhero. If they are a daughter of Ares, do not make them suddenly able to be very gifted with water like Poseidon campers. It's not right.
